I don't know the name of the lady who replied the original post. Although some of her answers are OK/SUPERB but i disagree with some as below.

Language - Tamil, tamil and tamil. Even if they know hindi, they dont speak up.

[Tamilian Lady]
For your Kind information, nobody knows Hindi here. Only non-tamilians living in Chennai take Hindi (like me) while most of them take French. And excluding the non-localites, people converse in ENGLISH.
[MY ANSWER]
I did lot of shopping in Chennai using Hindi. Shopkeepers managed to speak Hindi for selling but same shopkeeper won't tell you directions if asked in Hindi outside his shop. They claim 2 learn french which may be 0.00001% people speak in India but they don't learn Hindi which 80% Indians speak. God knows what these Tamilians want 2 prove.

[Tamilian Lady]
Excuse’ Moi ..!! When i went to the north (not specifying which place), me being a south-indian, had a tough time, hunting for some good rice to eat, because all i got was Aloo Paratha, Aloo Gobi, Gobi Manchurian, Aloo Muttor, Aloo Roast etc.. Wonder if they invented Aloo Juice.. Each of them have their own culture for taste and sense..!! So dont blame any place.
[MY ANSWER]
Only fool, foriegner or fanatic Tamilians will believe on your above statement. You can find good rice all over the India.

2. We asked an auto driver, “hindi aati hai”?. He replied in hindi “Hindi nahi aati”.
[Tamilian Lady]
Buddy, thats the only thing they would have learnt in Hindi..!! For heaven sake, stop having false impressions that hindi is our National Language..!! It isnt..i have no time for this argument again..!! I never knew they speak Tamil in Delhi or Bombay..!! So why Hindi in Chennai..!! Use a more worldy used language, ENGLISH.
[MY ANSWER]
If you claim that ur75% population will speak ENGLISH in next 10 years then also i will agree 2 your point. u expect all the population of india 2 speak in english with ur autowala. HINDI IS THE INDIA's NATIONAL LANGUAGE. No matter if u handful tamilian don't learn (actually speak) it. U want Tamil 2 be spoken in Mumbai, same Oriyam gujju aqnd all other states will ask, then u expect each indian 2 learn 28 languages. U go and learn 5 languages first and then come 2 me. HINDI is the language which binds all country together.

9. Cable connection is of no use here as only tamil channels are broadcasted on cable TV, if anyone wanna watch hindi channels then you need to buy a set up box (Rs.4000).
[Tamilian Lady]
Hahaha…You guys where the ones who started making a big fuss about making Hindi Channels as paid Channels…we never wanted to watch Hindi here, so who cares.. Nobody uses STB (Set Top Box), Tamilians watch all south-indian languages for free..!!
[MY ANSWER]
And you are happy that MainStream TV channels doesn't come in Chennai.

13. No life after 9 PM.
[Tamilian Lady]
Do u know what life is than just going to Disco’s and Pubs?? Partying and Boozing??
[MY ANSWER]
What a crap answer!!!

[Tamilian Lady]
Though being a non-tamilian, i am proud to be a Chennaite.
[MY ANSWER]
Don't you want to be proud Indian. If not then take your Tamil nadu outside India (Go to france using ur french)

A general note:
When i was in USA, In the client office there were some Chinese and we Indians along with Americans. We use 2 have gud gathering, but if 1 chinese have 2 say something 2 another chinese they speak in Chinese. In our Indian group there was a Tamilian, We use to speak english with him. So oneday chinese guy asked that Tamilian "Which country do you belong", and he replied India. Then the guy asked why other people talk in english with u. He said, "because i don't know Hindi".
Then the Chinese said 2 all of us,
"IT MEANS 2 IINDIAN NEED A FORIEGN LANGUAGE 2 COMMUNICATE."

I do agree that people should learn the local language where they live but there should be one language unitig the whole India and that language can't be English. It has has to be Hindi.
