Language - Tamil, tamil and tamil. Even if they know hindi, they dont speak up.

People - We never heard anyone laughing here (I wonder if they ever laugh or shout)

So conservative, that noone talks even in the bus

Food - Idly, sambhar, rice, dosa, vada, pongal

We have to cook our food ourselves (unbelievable naa).

Weather - summer from october to feb and rest of the year it’s deadly summer.

Interesting facts and incidents :

1. Here you cannot buy a needle after 6 PM (strange).

2. We asked an auto driver, “hindi aati hai”?. He replied in hindi “Hindi nahi aati”.

3. The most common suffix here is ‘a’, e.g.

straight - straighta

2 cup tea - 2 cupa tea

4. Even dogs eat curd rice.

5. In north, names are like Gori Shankar, gauri prasad etc. Here the names are like Kaliraj, kalicharan etc.

6. When there is a ‘t’ in any name, they add ‘h’ to it.

7. Here is a culture of adding mystical alphabets after ones’s name, like Mahesh R, Sandeep T etc.

10.How dare anyone come to chennai : Cognizant Chennai MCity comes under SEZ(special economic zone), swap and transfers from here are not possible.

See i think a few things are pretty true here…But most of it are just mere exaggeration. He has just written all his effusive frustration here..!! I live here in bangalore, and trust me its much more expensive than wht he thinks.. i have lived in Chennai and Bangalore, and in Kerala, so i do know the difference between most of the places in South India.. Chennai is supposed to be the second cheapest metropolitan city after Calcutta and any other cities in India.

For your Kind information, nobody knows Hindi here. Only non-tamilians living in Chennai take Hindi (like me) while most of them take French. And excluding the non-localites, people converse in ENGLISH.

They are not conservative damn it…ALL INDIANS are like that..!! The same happens in Bangalore, Hyderabad or Pune..U dont strike a coversation with a stranger out of the blue..!!

Excuse’ Moi ..!! When i went to the north (not specifying which place), me being a south-indian, had a tough time, hunting for some good rice to eat, because all i got was Aloo Paratha, Aloo Gobi, Gobi Manchurian, Aloo Muttor, Aloo Roast etc.. Wonder if they invented Aloo Juice.. Each of them have their own culture for taste and sense..!! So dont blame any place.

Damn it, dont tell me you would complain that it dint rain or snow in Sahara when you where there..!! Oh please, for heaven sake, each area has a difference in climate. India is not small as u get to see in the world map.

Buddy, thats the only thing they would have learnt in Hindi..!! For heaven sake, stop having false impressions that hindi is our National Language..!! It isnt..i have no time for this argument again..!! I never knew they speak Tamil in Delhi or Bombay..!! So why Hindi in Chennai..!! Use a more worldy used language, ENGLISH.

Yes, like the way you’ll pronunce, thirty (therty as thartty) and fourteen (forteen as farteen)..!! Somebody stop me..!!

Well, in Hindi you wrtie ‘Ta’ as t, and in Tamil we write ‘Tha’ as Th..!! Dont find faults with such silly matters.

Sorry, instead to keeping ‘Abhishek Anandkumar Khare’ or ‘Sunaina Swapan Teja’, we just name them as ‘Abhishek A.K’ and ‘Sunaina S.T’

Hahaha…You guys where the ones who started making a big fuss about making Hindi Channels as paid Channels…we never wanted to watch Hindi here, so who cares.. Nobody uses STB (Set Top Box), Tamilians watch all south-indian languages for free..!!

Escuse me..!! Hahaha..!! Infosys or any other office in Bangalore, in Electronics City, is actually in Hosur Road..!! Dont expect Narayan Moorthy to build such a huge campus in the heart of the city..!! Ask questions that make sense..!!

Hey, have u seen b’lore roads … They are so bad .. y dont these government ppl improve those..
I think b’lore success has nothing to do with government(s).. So faa all the companies have come to b’lore for bussiness without gov’s help.. Y dont this gov. help IT so that more can come… Gov. is always ready to eat money .. without doing any work.. One thing they dint realise , i.e., if more companies form base in b’lore politicians can eat more money.. But who’ll explain them this fact…

Hey, in my last post I forgot to explain one feature.  Incredible phone book in K750i.

If you want to find some name in the phone book you shud kno the exact way u stored the name .. wow!!! Tats not phone book I shud say tats a security feature. Phone book will surely give a hard time, if one of Ur fend tries to find a name …

This feature can be better explained with comparison to nokia phones. Don’t think abt the nokia “low end” phones… new phones in nokia have a feature, which takes even the part of the name you enter. And lists all the names, which contain this, bunch of letters in their name…. Good Feature!!!

For Ex: - if you type “sh”

Names like

1. Ashish

2. Ashwani

3. Shwetha

4. Yogesh

Will be listed

But look at the feature in Sony. Only “shwetha” will be listed as I searched of “sh” HUH!!!!

I’m not blaming only K750i for this feature. (Coz it has low-end s/w in disguise of high-end s/w)

If you think I’m being unfair for Sony… Lets take Sony new models. K810i.. (Cool cyber shot phone) latest one.

This amazing phone book is retained in this new model also…. Wow!! Now tats incredible.   I salute Sony for giving this exciting phone book as gift for their so-called ”high end” handset users….

BTW don’t assume I like nokia and hate Sony.. I believe nokia is cheating people by selling handsets at higher cost. What I feel is Sony should  enhance its features , to server Sony lovers better.

If ur transfering something via bluetooth , just dont do any other work on ur mobile. keep looking the transfer happening. Or U mit want to do something else on ur mobile.. Hmmm..sorry !!! U can’t do anything other than watching .. one biiig fiture of sony ericsson.

As now u’ve bought the “high end” handset , wishing to save lot of messages in different folders (wishes, teasers , my love etc. ) .. Even i like that , I thought i could do all those with this K750i… OOOOOps.. max. msg u can store is 200…. Ok i guess you’ll compromise max 200 in inbox .. wait a minute i dint reveal another secret (dont tel this to neone..) when i said 200 i meant complete message storage.. not only inbox… so max u can store 200 including sent items , drafts , saved items and ofcourse inbox Nice No.. !!!!

Ur driving bike with head set on ur ears , listening FM. Now try changing the channel by pressing button on headset …… Huh!!! U can’t .. this feature is not provided in SONY .. (Leave it .. it seems to be a biiiiig feature .. mit be costly .. ) .. But y in nokia (even in 3K/- handset) .. Now all you have to do is.. take out ur handset from pocket , bag or whereever u’ve kept that .. and change the channel ………. Long live sony ericsson.. !!

I have long list of frens , so on special occassions i need to message them all to wish .. So wat do i do now…. yep! I have to add all the numbers in a single message and send .. (Group messaging) … Hey , wat happened to my handset .. its dying….. the so called high end handset which does so many b**l sh*t things faster , not doing this simple job.. No keys wil work .. not even switch off!!!!!! wow!! amazing feature ( bug ) .. so u’ve to wait till mobile comes back to sober state after heavy drink.. which approx will take 10 min!! (believe me) … Now u mit wonder wats so special in group message.. now tats wat i want to ask sony people who designed this high end handset.. again hats off!!!

One day i went to a movie with frens .. i had to battle out for 4 tickets.. I couldn’t check my mobile in that crowd …. Tat day i thought i lost my mobile almost…. later i checked my mobile phone for messages or missed calls.. HMMM.. i thought loosing mobile was better than suffering.. !!! Yeah!! this is a strange problem.. I had 4 missed calls and 4 messages .. (all those wil be there in activity menu.. which pops up to curse us..) .. tats all i cud see.. when i tried to check who has given missed calls or sent messages … mobile got hanged.. (remember my last paragraph.. even switch off wont work when sony is in panic.) I had to take battery out and replace it.. thank god it got switched on.. But i tried to check who has given missed call in activity menu.. ? again mobile got hanged .. (again replace battery) .. it happened 2 more times..

again i took off my hat!! to salute sony ericsson…..(I accept this happens with many handsets , but i can’t forgive this happening in 13K handsets) ..

I faced this problem (4 missed call problem), 3-4 times in few months.. But tat made me find out a solution for this bug… when ever you see 4 missed calls in the activity menu.. (dont panic.. dont call ur parents , frens .. start praying god.. as u witnessed this amazing feature by sony…) press back key and go to call history check all missed calls …. Mobile will hang if u try to check ur 4 missed alls directly in activity menu… or try to delete the entry directly… Yepppieee!!! we are finding solutions to use sony features !!! god news for sony ppl..

Still I have lot of more features …!!! I will definitely fill this page up.. sometimes later..
